The prompt: ‘But where do dit go?’ She shouted.

That night the clock struck 12 as the mysterious black hooded figure swept through the room, silent and sly like a fox. Swoosh went the shadow dancing across the floor. Under every bed and desktop, through every cabinet and drawer until there was only one room left. The master’s bedroom. The sleeping master was tossing and turning and when she turned to face the figure the precious diamond ring slipped off her finger. And like that, he was gone. The screams bellowed through the night: “But where did it go?” She shouted “And who took it?” And until this day the question remains.

“As I accepted the role of the CEO I knew it would be tough but the weight being put on my shoulders was heavier than I expected. Being the first female CEO of this brand is making me feel like I have to do it right, perfect even. That I have to show women that it isn’t hard to become one unless you try. But I can’t deal with the pressure any more.”

I cried as I sat there at my mothers grave. She would tell me I could do it, that nothing is impossible! But ever since she left, nothing is possible.

This week for 100 word challenge about these words: bicycle desperate yellow warned greedily. This week was a hard one because we had to do it about our exhibition topic. My topic is gender inequality so fitting those words into a story about that is really hard.

‘I want a job.’ I looked at my father right in the eye while I was wearing his favourite yellow dress of mine told him what I wanted.
‘You won’t get it honey, you’re acting a bit greedily,’ my father warned me. I was used to that answer, like it was a wheel on a bicycle. I was desperate for a job.
Why? Why am I trapped inside these walls? I saw men with briefcases and hospitals filled with male doctors. My body filled with anger. I want to change who I am to live freely and be myself. Why aren’t we all equal?
